Umrah Packages from the UK for 2026 and 2027
Haram Zone Travel arranges Umrah packages from the UK that bring your flights, Umrah visa, hotels in Makkah and Madinah and transfers into one booking. You choose the hotel standard, how many nights you need and when you want to go. We handle the arrangements and stay in touch from the day you enquire until you land back home.
Prices start from £610 per person for a 7-night 3-star package on a sharing basis. The final cost depends on your travel dates, how close you want to stay to the Haram and how many people share a room. Every quote lists exactly what’s included before you pay anything.

What’s Included in an All-Inclusive Umrah Package?
Our all-inclusive Umrah packages cover the parts of the trip that are hardest to arrange yourself:
- Return flights from a UK airport to Jeddah or Madinah, with checked baggage and Zamzam allowance where the airline offers it
- Umrah visa processing, or guidance on using an eligible tourist visa if you already hold one
- Hotels in Makkah and Madinah, named in your quote so you can look them up
- Airport transfers on arrival and departure
- Transport between Makkah and Madinah by coach, private car or the Haramain high-speed train, depending on the package
- Help with your Nusuk Umrah permit booking
- UK-based support before you travel and contact while you’re away 24/7 hours customer support available.
What’s not included
So there are no surprises, these are normally not part of the package price unless your quote says otherwise:
- Travel insurance (the Saudi visa includes basic medical cover, but it isn’t a replacement for proper travel insurance)
- Your meningococcal ACWY vaccination
- Meals, unless a meal plan is listed on your package
- Ziyarat tours of historical sites, unless listed
- Personal spending, Qurbani and extra luggage
How Much Does an Umrah Package from the UK Cost?
Umrah packages from the UK typically start from around £610 per person for 7 nights in 3-star hotels on a sharing basis, and rise to £1780 or more for 5-star hotels close to the Haram. Ramadan and school-holiday dates cost the most.
Five things change the price more than anything else:
Factor | Why it matters |
Travel dates | Ramadan (especially the last ten nights), Christmas and school half-terms push flight and hotel prices up sharply. Quieter weeks in term time are cheapest. |
Hotel distance | Hotels overlooking or next to the Haram charge a premium. A 10–15 minute walk can save a lot but matters more for older pilgrims. |
Room sharing | Quad sharing gives the lowest price per person. Double rooms cost noticeably more each. |
Flights | Direct flights cost more than one-stop routes but save hours of travel, which counts on a short trip. |
Length of stay | Longer stays add hotel nights, though the cost per night often drops. |
Cheap Umrah packages vs good-value Umrah packages
A cheap Umrah deal with a low headline price usually means four people to a room, a hotel further from the Haram, a connecting flight and a stay outside peak dates. That can be a perfectly good trip if you know what you’re getting.
Where budget Umrah packages go wrong is when the walking distance, shuttle arrangements or transit time aren’t made clear before booking. For an elderly parent, a hotel a 15-minute walk away can mean missing prayers in the Haram. Always check the hotel name and its distance before comparing prices, not after.
We name the hotels in every quote so you can compare affordable Umrah packages like for like.
3-Star, 4-Star or 5-Star: Which Umrah Package Suits You?
- 3-star Umrah packages suit younger, mobile pilgrims who want the most affordable option and don’t mind a longer walk or a hotel shuttle.
- 4-star Umrah packages are the middle ground most families choose: better rooms and usually a shorter walk to the Haram, often with breakfast or depending on customer requirement.
- 5-star Umrah packages put you closest to Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, which matters most for older pilgrims, anyone with limited mobility and those who want to pray every salah in the mosque. A luxury Umrah package may also include private transfers.
You can mix tiers. Some pilgrims take a 5-star hotel in Makkah, where the walking is heavier, and a 4-star in Madinah to keep the overall cost down.
How Many Days Do You Need for Umrah?
The Umrah rites themselves (ihram, tawaf, sa’i and cutting the hair) take around three to six hours. Most UK pilgrims book 7 to 15 nights so they have time in both Makkah and Madinah.
- 7-night Umrah package: enough for Umrah plus a few days in each city. Works well for those with limited annual leave. Usually 4 nights in Makkah and 3 in Madinah.
- 10-night package: the most popular balance. Time for more prayers in both mosques, Ziyarat and rest.
- 15 nights or longer: suits pilgrims who want an unhurried trip, older travellers who need rest days, and those performing more than one Umrah.
Whether you start in Makkah or Madinah usually depends on flight routing. Starting in Madinah means you enter ihram at the Miqat on the road to Makkah, which some first-time pilgrims find easier.
When to Go: Umrah Seasons and UK School Holidays
The cheapest time for Umrah from the UK is usually during term time outside Ramadan and the Christmas holidays. The most expensive is the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Many UK pilgrims plan around school holidays, so we run dedicated packages for each one:
- Autumn half-term: October Holidays Umrah Packages fit the late-October break, with cooler weather than summer.
- Christmas: December Umrah Packages use the two-week school break and the mildest weather of the year. This is also one of the busiest periods, so hotels near the Haram go early and it’s more expensive than other packages.
- February half-term: Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, so most February half-term dates will fall within Ramadan. February Holidays Umrah Packages are priced with that in mind.
- Ramadan Umrah Packages: Ramadan umrah include full-month, 15-night and last-ten-nights options. Book as early as you can because seats are reserved before 2 or 3 months.
- Easter Holidays Umrah Packages depend on the Saudi Umrah season calendar each year. See the note below.
- Summer Holidays Umrah Packages run after Hajj, once the new Umrah season opens. Expect very high daytime temperatures.
Important dates for the 2026–27 Umrah season
Saudi Arabia pauses international Umrah visas in the run-up to Hajj. For the 1448 AH season, published guidance currently gives these cut-offs and will confirm through Ministry of Hajj and Umrah / Nusuk:
- Last date for Umrah visa issue: 9 March 2027
- Last date to enter Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa: 23 March 2027
- Last date to leave Saudi Arabia: 7 April 2027
This matters if you’re planning around Easter 2027, as some school holiday dates may fall after the entry deadline. We check the latest cut-off before confirming any late-season booking.
Flying from Your Nearest UK Airport
Most of our Umrah packages from the UK fly into Jeddah, with some routes landing in Madinah. Direct flights run from London Heathrow and on some carriers, Manchester. Other airports usually connect through a Gulf or European hub.
If you’d rather depart close to home, these options cover local airports, flight options and pick-ups:
- Umrah packages from London (Heathrow and Gatwick)
- Umrah packages from Manchester for the North West
- Umrah packages from Birmingham for the Midlands
- Umrah packages from Glasgow for pilgrims in Scotland
- Umrah packages from Bradford via Leeds Bradford or Manchester
If you only need Umrah tickets without a hotel, ask us. We can quote flights on their own for some routes.
Umrah Visa, Nusuk and What UK Pilgrims Need
British passport holders need a Saudi visa or eligible electronic authorisation, a Nusuk Umrah permit, a passport valid for at least six months from arrival, and proof of meningococcal ACWY vaccination. Rules are set by the Saudi authorities and can change, so we confirm the current requirements when you book.
What we arrange for you
- Your Umrah visa application, using the documents you send us
- Hotel and transport bookings, which are needed before a Nusuk permit can be issued
- Help booking your Nusuk permit time slot for Umrah at Masjid al-Haram
- Guidance on the separate Rawdah permit for visiting the Rawdah in Masjid an-Nabawi
What you need to provide
- A passport valid for at least six months from the date you arrive in Saudi Arabia
- A recent passport-style photo
- Your meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate. Timing rule, commonly at least 10 days before arrival
- Non-British passport holders: tell us your nationality when you enquire, as visa routes differ
Which visa can you use?
UK nationals can currently perform Umrah outside the Hajj season on a dedicated Umrah visa, and eligible tourist visas also allow Umrah. The Umrah visa is single-entry and valid for 30 days from issue against GOV.UK and Saudi visa platform: GOV.UK currently lists electronic travel authorisation and visa waiver routes for UK nationals.
Visa approval is always the decision of the Saudi authorities. No agency can guarantee it.
For the latest official advice, check the GOV.UK Saudi Arabia entry requirements page before you travel.
Umrah Packages for Families, Women, Groups and Older Pilgrims
Families
Travelling with children works best in school holidays, with a family room and a hotel close enough that younger children can manage the walk. Our Family Umrah Packages cover family rooms, child pricing and pacing the trip around the rituals.
Women travelling for Umrah
Saudi rules currently allow adult women to perform Umrah without a mahram. Current age and group conditions. Many women still prefer the reassurance of travelling in an organised group and we can arrange women’s Umrah packages with other sisters on the same dates.
Groups and communities
Mosques, families and friends travelling together can book as one party with shared transfers and coordinated rooms. See our Group Umrah Packages for group sizes and how pricing works.
Older and less mobile pilgrims
A few choices make a big difference:
- Pick a hotel as close to the Haram as your budget allows. Distance matters more than star rating here.
- Ask for a lower floor or a room near the lifts.
- Wheelchairs and electric carts are available at Masjid-al-Haram for tawaf and sa’i. But you have to confirm from current hire arrangements.
- Allow a longer stay with rest days rather than a packed 7 nights.
Tell us about any mobility or health needs when you enquire, and we’ll suggest hotels and transfers to suit.
Paying for Your Umrah Package
You can secure your booking with a deposit and pay the balance before departure. If you’d rather spread the cost, our Umrah packages on instalments let you pay monthly with interest-free, deposit amount, and final payment deadline before departure.

- Make sure the company has a UK address and landline.
- Be wary of prices far below everyone else’s, especially for Ramadan.
