Hajj Packages 2027 from the UK
Hajj 2027 is expected to run from Friday 14 May to Wednesday 19 May 2027, with the Day of Arafah on Saturday 15 May. Final dates depend on the moon sighting confirmed by the Saudi authorities.
If you live in the UK, your Hajj place, visa and package are all booked through Nusuk Hajj, the official platform overseen by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This page explains how Hajj packages 2027 work for UK pilgrims, what they cost, what is and isn’t included, and how Haram Zone Travel helps you get from registration to your flight home without missing a step.

How booking Hajj 2027 works from the UK
You can’t buy a Hajj place from a UK website, a social media seller, or by bank transfer to an agent. British pilgrims register, get verified, pay and book their Hajj package on Nusuk Hajj. GOV.UK states this plainly in its Saudi Arabia pilgrimage advice, and the packages listed there are provided by Saudi-authorised service providers.
That doesn’t mean you have to do it alone. Nusuk has around ten stages, sales days move quickly, and a mistake on a document or in your e-wallet can cost you a place. This is where we come in.
What Nusuk handles and what we handle
Stage | Nusuk Hajj and Saudi authorities | Haram Zone Travel |
Your account and application | You create the account and submit the application on the platform | We go through it with you, check every document and photo before you submit, and explain anything that’s unclear |
Eligibility and verification | The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah decides | We explain the published criteria and what typically slows verification down |
Choosing a package | Packages are sold by Saudi-authorised service providers on Nusuk | We help you compare the packages listed for UK pilgrims on price, hotel distance, shifting or non-shifting and Mina camp |
Paying | Payments go into your Nusuk e-wallet | We explain how much you need and when, so your funds are ready for sales day |
Visa | Issued through Nusuk once your booking is confirmed | We remind you of deadlines and check your passport details match |
Flights | Included in all-inclusive packages | If your package doesn’t include flights, we can help you arrange them from your nearest UK airport |
Preparation | Not covered | Guidance on the rites, packing, health and what each day looks like |

When is Hajj 2027?
Hajj 2027 is expected from Friday 14 May to Wednesday 19 May 2027. The Day of Arafah, the most important day of Hajj, is on Saturday 15 May, and Eid al-Adha on Sunday 16 May. These dates follow the expected start of Dhul Hijjah 1448 on 7 May 2027 and may move by a day once the moon is sighted.
Day of Hajj | Islamic date | Expected date |
Day of Tarwiyah (go to Mina) | 8 Dhul Hijjah 1448 | Friday 14 May 2027 |
Day of Arafah | 9 Dhul Hijjah | Saturday 15 May 2027 |
Eid al-Adha (Jamarat, sacrifice, Tawaf al-Ifadah) | 10 Dhul Hijjah | Sunday 16 May 2027 |
Days of Tashreeq (Jamarat each day) | 11 to 13 Dhul Hijjah | Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 May 2027 |
Most UK pilgrims fly out in early May and return in late May or early June, depending on the package length. For the 2026 season, Nusuk set minimum stays of 6 days for Mashair-only packages, 10 days for non-shifting packages and 14 days for shifting packages.

How much does Hajj cost from the UK in 2027?
Most Hajj packages 2027 advertised to UK pilgrims sit between about £6,500 and £12,000 per person. Final prices are set by the service providers when packages go on sale on Nusuk, so any figure before then is a guide, not a quote.
Tier | Typical price per person | What usually changes |
Economy / standard | About £6,500 to £8,000 | Hotels further from the Haram, shifting package, quad or triple rooms, standard Mina camp |
Premium | About £8,000 to £10,000 | 4 to 5-star hotels closer to the Haram, choice of shifting or non-shifting, better Mina camp category |
Luxury / VIP | £10,000 to £12,000+ | 5-star hotels next to the Haram, non-shifting, premium Mina camps, double rooms |
What pushes the price up or down
- Room sharing. A quad room costs less per person than a double. A Hajj package for two in a private double room is usually the most expensive way to share.
- Hotel distance. Ask for walking distance in metres, not “near the Haram”. A few hundred metres makes a big difference in May heat and at prayer times.
- Shifting or non-shifting. Shifting packages are usually cheaper (see below).
- Mina camp category. Camps closer to the Jamarat and with better facilities cost more.
- Package length and Madinah nights. Longer stays add hotel nights.
- Flights. Whether flights are included, and from which UK airport.
- Qurbani. Some packages include the sacrifice, some don’t.
Costs that sit outside most packages
- Travel insurance with medical cover
- Meningitis ACWY vaccine (and any recommended vaccines) from your GP or a travel clinic
- Getting to and from your UK departure airport, plus parking
- Qurbani, if your package doesn’t include it
- Room upgrades and extra nights
- Personal spending, gifts, laundry and Zamzam
Is there such a thing as a cheap Hajj package?
There are affordable Hajj packages, usually economy packages with shared rooms and a shifting arrangement. What doesn’t exist is a cheap shortcut outside Nusuk. If someone offers a Hajj place far below the prices listed on Nusuk, or asks for payment into a personal account, treat it as a warning sign. The cheapest legitimate option is the lowest-cost package listed on Nusuk for UK pilgrims.

Shifting or non-shifting: which should you choose?
In a non-shifting package you keep your Makkah hotel for the whole trip and travel from it to Mina for the days of Hajj. In a shifting package you move out of your Makkah hotel before Hajj and stay in apartment buildings in the Aziziyah area, closer to Mina, before moving back afterwards.
| Shifting | Non-shifting |
Price | Usually lower | Usually higher |
Hotel during Hajj days | Aziziyah apartments near Mina | Same Makkah hotel throughout |
Packing and moving | You move your luggage at least twice | Unpack once |
Minimum stay (2026 rules) | 14 days | 10 days |
Often suits | Budget-conscious pilgrims, longer stays | Older pilgrims, couples, shorter trips |
What is included in a Hajj 2027 package?
Nusuk describes its all-inclusive packages as covering the following, and these are the things to check on any package before you book:
- Hajj visa issued through Nusuk
- Return flights
- Hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah
- Meals (check which meals, and whether they continue in Mina and Arafat)
- Transport between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah
- Mashair services: your camp and transport for Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah
- Religious guidance during Hajj
What Haram Zone Travel adds: one point of contact in the UK, help with your Nusuk application and documents, a clear cost breakdown before you pay, and pre-departure guidance.
Usually not included: travel insurance, vaccines, personal spending, room upgrades, and sometimes Qurbani. We list exactly what is and isn’t in your package before you book.
Hotels, Mina tents and the days of Hajj
Hotels in Makkah and Madinah
Hotel choice matters more on Hajj than on Umrah because you’ll walk to the Haram in heat that regularly passes 40°C in May, often five times a day. The questions worth asking are simple: how many metres to the nearest gate, how long do the lifts take at prayer times, and are meals served in the hotel. In Madinah, most packages use hotels within walking distance of Masjid an-Nabawi.
Mina and Arafat camps
Your camp in Mina and your place in Arafat come with your package and are assigned by category. Higher categories are generally closer to the Jamarat and have better facilities. If walking is difficult for you, the camp location is worth paying attention to.
What happens on each day of Hajj
- 8 Dhul Hijjah (14 May): travel to Mina in ihram and spend the day and night there.
- 9 Dhul Hijjah (15 May): the Day of Arafah. You stay in Arafat until sunset, then move to Muzdalifah for the night.
- 10 Dhul Hijjah (16 May): stone the large Jamarah, sacrifice (Qurbani), shave or trim, and perform Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa’i.
- 11 to 13 Dhul Hijjah (17 to 19 May): stay in Mina and stone the three Jamarat each day. Many pilgrims leave on the 12th.
- Before leaving Makkah: the farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada).
Flying to Hajj from London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow
Your departure airport depends on the flights attached to your package. UK Hajj groups usually fly from London Heathrow and Manchester into Jeddah or Madinah. If you live in Birmingham, Glasgow or elsewhere, you’ll either join from a connecting flight or travel to the main departure airport, and we’ll tell you which before you book so you can plan the journey from home.
Who our Hajj packages are for
- First-time pilgrims who want someone to walk them through Nusuk and the rites before they go.
- Couples looking for a Hajj package for two. We’ll show you the real cost difference between a double room and sharing.
- Older pilgrims and people with limited mobility. Hajj involves long walks at Mina, Muzdalifah and the Jamarat. Tell us early about mobility needs so we can look at non-shifting options, camp location and wheelchair arrangements.
- Women travelling in groups. Rules on women travelling without a mahram are set by the Saudi authorities, and we’ll check what applies to your package.
- Families. Age rules for children on Hajj are set each season, so check with us before you plan around younger family members.
Documents and health checks before you travel
- Passport: make sure it is valid well beyond your return date.
- Meningitis ACWY vaccine: Saudi Arabia requires a valid certificate issued at least 10 days before you arrive. In the UK the conjugate vaccine is used, and a certificate is valid for 5 years.
- Other vaccines: NaTHNaC also advises flu and hepatitis B for Hajj pilgrims, plus routine UK vaccines.
- Travel insurance: with medical cover for the full trip.
- Heat: plan for extreme heat. Drink water regularly, use shade and sunscreen, and arrive a few days early to adjust where your package allows.
- Your visa has a fixed end date. GOV.UK warns that overstaying can lead to large fines, detention, deportation or a ban from returning.
How to spot a Hajj scam
A genuine Hajj place for a UK resident is booked on Nusuk Hajj and paid through your Nusuk e-wallet. Anything else is a red flag. GOV.UK and the Council of British Hajjis both warn that criminals target pilgrims every year.
- Someone “guarantees” a Hajj visa or a reserved place outside Nusuk.
- You’re asked to pay into a personal bank account.
- “Hajj tickets” sold on WhatsApp or social media.
- An Umrah or tourist visa offered as a way to perform Hajj. Performing Hajj without a Hajj permit carries heavy penalties in Saudi Arabia.
GOV.UK also advises checking that any travel company arranging your flights holds ATOL protection, paying by credit card, and keeping everything in writing.
Planning Hajj 2027 with Haram Zone Travel
Haram Zone Travel is a UK-based Hajj and Umrah Travel Agency and part of Universal Travel Ventures, based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. We work with UK pilgrims on Hajj and Umrah from the first question to the flight home.
What you can expect from us:
- One named contact who knows your application.
- A document check before you submit anything on Nusuk.
- A written cost breakdown, including the costs outside your package.
- Honest advice if a package doesn’t suit your health, budget or dates.
- Support from our UK team while you’re away.
Hajj places for UK pilgrims are limited, and not everyone who registers gets the package they want. If Hajj doesn’t work out this season, many families perform Umrah in the meantime and our Umrah packages run through the year from UK airports.
