Haram Zone Travel arranges February holidays Umrah packages for 2027 from London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow. Choose 7, 12 or 15 nights split between Makkah and Madinah, with return flights, hotels, airport and intercity transfers and help with your Umrah visa in one booking. Ziyarat can be added on request.
February 2027 is not one season but two. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, which means early February is a quieter pre-Ramadan trip, and the half-term week falls in the first part of Ramadan. Below we explain what that means for your dates, your budget and your family, then show the packages.

Early February or half-term: which Umrah in February suits you?
If you can travel in the first week of February, you will usually find calmer mosques and lower prices than half-term. If school holidays decide your dates, you will be performing Umrah in Ramadan, which many people want, but you should expect fuller hotels, busier prayers and higher fares.
Early February (roughly 1–7 February): the end of Sha’ban
- Usually the better-value window of the month, before Ramadan hotel rates start.
- Normal daily rhythm: restaurants open through the day, easier to pace Tawaf and Sa’i.
- Suits couples, retired parents, adults who can take a week off work, and anyone wanting a quieter first Umrah.
- A 12- or 15-night trip starting late January can run straight into the first days of Ramadan.
Half-term week (around 13–21 February): the school-holiday trip
- In February, most UK families can travel without taking their children out of school.
- Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February are the busiest days to fly out; Friday-night departures or a Sunday return can lower the fare.
- It is the most expensive week of the month, because school-holiday flight demand and early-Ramadan hotel demand land together.
- A 7-night package fits neatly: fly out on the Saturday, back by the following Sunday.
In 2027 the half-term week falls in roughly the first fortnight of Ramadan, so mosques are fuller and daily timings follow the fast. If spending Ramadan in the Haramain is your main reason for travelling, especially the last ten nights in late February and early March, our Ramadan 2027 Umrah packages page is the better place to plan from. This page focuses on getting the February dates, flights and budget right.
Is February a good time for Umrah?
Yes, for most UK pilgrims February is one of the more comfortable months for Umrah. Temperatures in Makkah sit well below the summer peak, which makes walking between the hotel and the Haram, and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, much easier for children and older parents.
Long-term climate averages put February highs in Makkah at around 33°C and lows around 20°C, with almost no rain. Madinah is usually cooler than Makkah, especially after Isha, so pack a light jumper or shawl. Midday sun is still strong: carry water, use an umbrella for shade and plan Tawaf for early morning or late evening if you are travelling outside Ramadan.
The trade-off in 2027 is crowded. Once Ramadan starts, the Haram is busier every day and especially at night. If you need a quieter trip for health or mobility reasons, aim for the first week of February.

7 nights February Umrah
Our 7 nights of February Umrah is the most popular choice for half-term because it fits inside nine days away from school, including travel. A typical split is four nights in Makkah and three in Madinah. It gives you time to complete Umrah calmly, pray in both Haramain and visit Quba Mosque, with one or two days spare in case a flight changes.
12 and 15 nights
Longer stays suit adults travelling outside school dates, or families who can take extra days. The extra nights make room for rest days, additional Tawaf, Ziyarat in both cities and a slower pace for older relatives. A 15-night trip starting at the end of January lets you experience the last days of Sha’ban and the opening of Ramadan in one stay.
What is included in your February Umrah package

- Ziyarat in Makkah and Madinah on request
- Help before you fly: documents checklist, vaccination reminder, timings

- Travel insurance, which we strongly recommend you buy as soon as you book
- Meningitis ACWY vaccination and any GP or travel clinic fees

- Costs from changes you request after booking, or changes made by airlines or Saudi authorities
How much does February Umrah cost from the UK?
The price of February holidays Umrah packages depends mostly on two things: whether you travel before or during Ramadan, and how close your hotel is to the Haram. Early February trips are normally cheaper. Half-term trips cost more because Ramadan hotel rates and UK school-holiday flight demand peak in the same week.
These are the factors that move your price, roughly in order of impact:
- Dates. Pre-Ramadan vs Ramadan, and whether you fly on a weekend at the start of half-term.
- Hotel distance. A hotel facing the Haram costs far more than one ten minutes’ walk away, even at the same star rating.
- Room sharing. Quad and triple rooms lower the per-person price; doubles cost more per head.
- Flight type and airport. Direct flights and regional airports can cost more on peak days.
- Length of stay. More nights add hotel cost, but the flight is the same, so cost per night often falls.
- Extras. Meal plans, private transfers and Ziyarat.
Keeping the cost down: finding cheap February Umrah in the UK
Cheap February Umrah in the UK is realistic if you are flexible. Fly in the first week of February rather than half-term, choose a 3- or 4-star hotel a short walk from the Haram, share a room, and be open to a one-stop flight. Booking early also helps, because Ramadan rooms close to the Haram sell first.
Be careful with February Umrah deals UK sellers advertise at prices far below everyone else. GOV.UK warns that fraudsters target Umrah travellers with offers that look too good to be true. A fair quote names the hotels and flights in writing.
Flights for February Umrah from all UK Cities
We arrange flights from the UK’s main airports into Jeddah or Madinah. Flying into Madinah first and leaving from Jeddah after Umrah, or the reverse, can save a transfer and suit families with young children. Which route works best depends on your dates and budget.
February Umrah from London
London has the widest choice, with direct and one-stop options to Jeddah and Madinah from Heathrow and connections from Gatwick. Half-term Saturdays are the busiest days to fly, so leaving on the Friday evening or Sunday can make a difference.
February Umrah from Manchester
Manchester suits families across the North West, Yorkshire and the North East. Whether a direct Manchester–Jeddah service is operating in February 2027; otherwise describe one-stop options.
February Umrah from Birmingham
Most Birmingham departures connect through a Gulf or European hub. If you are based in the Midlands, see our Umrah packages Birmingham page for local departure details.
Umrah from Glasgow
Glasgow departures are one-stop. Scottish mid-term in Glasgow is only two days (15–16 February 2027), so Scottish families usually add annual leave or travel over a long weekend with a 7-night package.
All these show the fixed date for your departure but you can reserve your umrah packages before these dates because later you will face a lot of problems in booking your umrah. The reason is that that was the full peak season and all traveling has been already booked. So first come and first go.
Family Umrah over the February holidays
Family Umrah in the February holidays works well with some planning, because the weather is mild and the trip fits the school calendar. In 2027 it also means bringing children to the Haram during Ramadan, which many parents value, but which changes how your days run.
- School absence: in England, taking a child out of school in term time without the head teacher’s permission can lead to a fine of £80 per parent, per child (£160 if paid late), under rules in force since August 2024. Half-term avoids this, and so does a trip that runs from Saturday to the following Sunday.
- Travel days: with only nine days between the last school day and the first day back, avoid connecting flights with long layovers, so children arrive rested enough for Umrah on day one or two.
- Rooms: families of four or five can often share a quad room or connecting rooms. Ask us for the set-up you need when you enquire.
- Crowds: arrange a meeting point inside the Haram and put a contact card with your hotel name and phone number in each child’s pocket.
- Prams and pushchairs: a light, foldable pushchair is easier to manage than a large one. Rules on pushchairs in some areas can change, so check on arrival.
- Vaccination: Saudi Arabia requires the ACWY meningitis vaccine for pilgrims over one year old.
- Passports: check every family member’s passport, including children’s, well before you book.
If you are planning around your children’s school dates for the rest of the year too, our Umrah package for family page lists options for other holidays.
Travelling with elderly parents or a wheelchair user
Tell us at the enquiry stage. We can request airport assistance, look for hotels with step-free access and a short, level walk to the Haram, and plan a pace that leaves rest days. Wheelchairs and electric carts are available inside Masjid al-Haram for Tawaf and Sa’i. Early February is usually the easier choice for anyone with limited mobility.
Umrah visa and entry requirements for February 2027
British citizens can perform Umrah outside the Hajj season on a Saudi Umrah visa or a tourist eVisa. For the 1448 season, Saudi Arabia links visa approval to confirmed bookings made through Nusuk, the official Umrah platform. Haram Zone Travel handles those bookings and the visa application as part of your package. Approval is always decided by the Saudi authorities, not by us.
What Saudi Arabia currently requires
- Nusuk-linked bookings: confirmed Makkah and/or Madinah accommodation and ground transport must be registered before the visa is issued.
- Entry window: reports from this season say an Umrah visa must be used to enter Saudi Arabia within 30 days of issue. That is why we normally apply around four weeks before you fly: in early January for an early February departure, and mid-January for half-term.
- Meningitis ACWY: you need a valid ACWY vaccination certificate, received at least 10 days before arrival. A conjugate vaccine certificate is accepted for five years.
- Passport: Confirm that you have a valid 6 months passport before the departure date.
- Season dates: the last date for Umrah visa issue this season is 9 March 2027, and the last date for pilgrims to enter is 23 March 2027, so February travel sits well inside the season.

Choosing your hotels in Makkah and Madinah
For a February trip, distance matters more than stars, especially over half-term when the walk to the Haram is slower through the crowds. Ask any agent for the walking time, not just the star rating.
Hotel standard | Typical walk to the Haram | Good for |
3-star | 8–15 minutes | Budget-focused trips, younger adults |
4-star | 5–10 minutes | Families wanting a balance of price and distance |
5-star | 0–5 minutes, Haram-facing options | Elderly parents, Ramadan nights, shortest walk |

- Get a written quote. We send hotel names, flight details and the full price.
- Pay your deposit. Confirm deposit amount and instalment options with our experienced travel agents. Your booking is confirmed in writing.
- Send documents. Passport scans for every traveller. Book your ACWY vaccine.
- Visa issued. We apply around four weeks before departure and send it to you.
- Final balance and travel pack. You receive your itinerary, hotel vouchers and contact numbers.
